Can you say PINK?

I wanted to show you what I am currently working on.. This is totally out of the box for me. I love the pink. There is just something about Civil War reproductions that appeal to me so much! I am thinking about naming the quilt "Survivors" .. We all have survivors in our lives or we are currently surviving something! Let me know what you think.. comments are welcomed!

I've always been a big fan of that Civil War pink color. It really is perfect in these blocks. I don't often love Civil war brown but when you put it with the pink it just makes it all take on a different look. One I love. Nice job Joyce.

I love the Civil War reproductions. The quilt shop I frequent is doing one of their Buck-a-Block quilts out of it this year. I love the quilt you are working on and think that the name is perfect! Thanks for sharing!

I like it! I'm just starting to get into reproduction fabric and patterns. I'm really attracted to the block with the different sized squares.

I just found your blog. How nice! I love the pink in the Civil War reproduction. How right you are in saying we are all surviving something. I'm a survivors of many things among which one of them is breast cancer so the colors are exceptionally meaningful to me. I've always loved blue colors and for some reason more pinks are showing up now.
I am a very visual and tactile learner. Easily, I can envision lying on this quilt, following the various patterns with my eyes and my fingers while lost in my thoughts.

Your quilts are beautiful. Thank you for sharing them with the rest of us.
